Hello everyone! ccMixter is honored to be included in the CC Music Awards this year.
The CC Music Awards were organized by folks outside the ccMixter community, and 16 individuals are overseeing the process (again, outside our community). ccMixter was invited to nominate tracks for subcategories in the “Remix” category. Our admins listened to hundreds of tracks uploaded between April 3 and December 31 to determine the nominations below. Please note: admins were instructed to exclude themselves from any nomination. 8 judges within our community, and one outside, are now casting their votes for their favorite in each category. If a judge is nominated in a category (remixer or remixed), they do not vote in that category. Judging wraps up January 31 and winners should be announced shortly thereafter on the CC Music Awards Website. Congratulations to our Nominees! I thought I was up-to-date with CC-related initiatives but OK, professing my ignorance here: did not know about CC Music Awards until this post.
Other than https://ccmusicawards.com I managed to trace it back to this: http://freemusicarchive.org... For fear of neglecting the equally deserving nominees, I’d have voted for Blue Wave Theory Also, I think my name up there was a mistake… (yes, yes the Imposter Syndrome rears its head) |

The folks that organized these awards have had a few technical challenges due to our number of nominations (we later learned the max capacity is 6 per category) — and so voting on their site for our categories is not possible. Judges are voting using other means and winners should be announced the first weekend in February.

I am honored to have been mentioned in an international competition that has as its objective the free exchange of art. You all are really special. My small contribution to this fantastic community has given me great satisfaction and even emotions, of which I never feel completely grateful, and this I owe to your work full of love and altruism. Being mentioned on this list makes me so proud. You are fantastic artists with a great sense of altruism.

Wow…Honoured to be a nominee and a winner in these awards. I hope like me that more people go and listen to as many of the nominated tracks they can to appreciate the massive Talent that is present right across this site and the standard of work that is done by so many remixers.
For every winning track here there is the contribution of the samples to create it. Awards only ever take the temperature of a set of given criteria at any one given specific time and so trufully anyone of the great mixers nominated here could be chosen. Thanks again from myself and Apoxode and congrats go to anyone contributing to CC mixter in and out of awards like this. Keep on making music,sharing and remixing in 2019. |

I was honoured to be nominated, and am most impressed by the work of the winning slate. No surprise to see Javolenus win a stems award, I’m blown away by how much work he can produce, with all of it being of great quality. And the clarity of tone and loveliness of onlymeith’s work I always love… your work always drips with emotion, which I really appreciate as a listener.
Panu blew me away, and a special shout out to the curation team for Amplifiers, which wasn’t just a collection of stuff, but a real attempt to herd the ccMixter cats into a coherent concept album! |
