From the church to the campfire.
Wonderfully crafted collage and your additional singing makes this really a bit of a gospel.

wow, those HARMONIES!!! chills on my skin and hope in my heart. i love the open and its patience, and that ringing guitar and tambourine come in for extra heart and soul — followed up with the percussion and flute solo (bad ass) and the harmonica is so tasty. the call/answer vox are amazing too (reminds me of Indigo Girls). definitely Woodstock quality! and glad you got the Ed-Pick ‘cause I would have given you one. amazing track Kara!

Thank you so much, Emily! I appreciate your detailed review. 😊 Gotta give massive credit to Stefan Kartenberg for the instrumentation (and stems!) and, of course, Mr. Yesterday’s joyous vocals. 💗

Nailed the Woodstock vibe for sure: would not have been out of place on Old Max’s farm at all. Love the harmonies. What a pleasant listen.

I love your harmony parts Kara. Appalachian hippies are dancing in the woods to this one, mushroom hunting barefeet for a late night gathering around the fire. Warm and uplifting.

I’m bringing this one on my next mountain adventure for sure.

Fantastic work, this song deserves to be heard and enjoyed to the full. I like it so much that I don’t know how to quantify. Kara’s work is remarkable and musical around the pleasant vocal line of Mr_Yesterday. I would see this song well in any context, but, a random scene from any Coen brothers movie comes to mind. Brava!

Oh, I’m so happy you enjoyed it, Al! It was so fun to do. With Mr. Yesterday’s vocals and Stefan Kartenberg’s instrumentation, it can together with such joy. Thank you!!

Kara. Your voice is like honey, or maybe spring sunshine. You immediately had me singing along from my heart.

The instrumentation is right on, production super clear and I love, love, the tone you got on the acoustic guitar. I want to know how you got it to sound so warm and live.

Congrats on a well deserved ed pick.

I love picturing you singing along! YAY!

The lion’s share of credit for the instrumentation goes to Stefan Kartenberg. He recorded the guitar parts exquisitely. I used Izotope Neutron Elements for EQ and compression… Softube TSAR-1R for subtle reverb.

Thank you so much, Susan. 💗

Love this, Kara, you took the spirit that moved me that morning and just ran off with it. There’s nothing like a camp fire and some joyful harmony to warm up the wilderness.

Many thumbs up and big thanks as always!
