Where the Moon Shines Bright
Looks like Mr_Yesterday and I got the ol’ Secret Mixter switcheroo! Woohoo!
Sooo… I love Mr_Yesterday’s songwriting and voice. Always have. I wanted to find something uplifting for this event. As soon as I heard his “Debate This!,” I was hooked! But Stefan Kartenberg already created the mix of my dreams. Fine then, Mr. Kartenberg, along you come for the ride! (Thank you, Stefan!) So my goal was to make this even more Woodstock-like (specifically, this was in my head as inspiration)… with Mr_Yesterday’s vocals as the foundation & focus, I added harmony, a bit o’ tambourine, and the rest of the instrumentation is Stefan (I striped it back for the middle and let his full mix shine at the end). So hey, thank you to Mr_ Yesterday for everything you share with ccMixter and the world. And thank you for this uplifting gem of hope.

Editorial pickThis track starts like it builds up as gospel choir in the church but takes us to the campfires at woodstock. The added harmonies here make you want to put a flower into your hair and dance and sing along. Siobhan Dakay
