Very nice switch from the 6/8 timescale to a 4/4. It sounds so natural..like she´d sung it in 4/4.
Beautiful strings in a latinlike atmosphere..
I like it more than it was before, In my opinion this is the best remix of Maestrosimone´s Orphelia I ever heard. Congratulations…

There are a lot of fantastic tracks/remixes here on ccmixter to detect. And there are a lot of remixes from you that are so nice and well done. But this track is again some brutal incredible nice one. It is sort of really outstanding for me. And this is no kidding, but is HAS a Al Jarreau ballade feel for me! ;-)
A warm spring evening song.

A huge Bravo and standing ovations!

This is immaculate, rainy day music. I live in NYC (Queens, actually…) and this is one of those dreary, misty, overcast days and this tune just seems to slide effortlessly into the mood. Loveshadow, I know we haven’t chatted in a bit but it’s creations like this that keep me dreaming about doing an album with you. Whomever has the pull will eventually make this an editors’ pick. It’s just that amazing! The tone, the execution, the mood…need I say more? Now pardon me; I just left ‘Cannes’ And I think I’m gonna take a ‘Roman Holiday’ over and over and over again…Aaaahhhh….

I can’t really say anything that hasn’t been said. This is so very excellent. Perfectly set compositionally, sonically, and as always rock-solid production values. I’m feeling something lounge, but closer to a jazz setting, but not a club. Perhaps a very secluded bar on the third floor of some unknown club that seats ten to fifteen. Very, very nice.

mmmmmmmm… I like this… mmmmm…
If I nitpick, I’m going to say that the voice sounds a bit too reverb’d for me. But really really really minor compliant: this is gushing with yum.

I understand very well your reasons for wanting to stay away from it; there’s pellas I won’t touch, simply because I envision the huge collective groan upon seeing the sample list (“Oh, God… not THIS again!”)
In this case, however- a pairing that was meant to be!

This is actually the pella that got me to ccM as well, I loved it but could never understand why so many of the remixers were trying to sqeeze the 3/4 into 4/4 and messing it up completely, only mention that because you did it so damn well—sounds like it was always that way :)

Mmm. This is absolutely lovely - it’s fantastically well balanced. Takes a big man to keep the beautiful guitars in the background and not let them take over the mix; and you’ve done wonders with the horns and strings as pointed out.

I agree with cag about the reverb - to my ears this should be a small, tight room; but it doesn’t detract at all. Excellent track, m’sieur.

As soon as i heard this i said to myself, did Burt Bacharach join ccMixter? I mean no disrespect by my commit. I think of it as a compliment. To be able to capture, not only that sound but that feel is is totally incredible. Another add on to my LS playlist on my ipod.

Superb dreamyy romantic soft sound. My kids request this at bedtime. I made the tribute video (Hamish Darby/economix) I am just wondering whether you approve having it posted or if you would prefer me to remove it.
