I think this is the best mix in a more hiphop genre ever heard.
In a time where I was producing some hiphop tracks I always thought on sort of this style.
Could never achieve it. But you did it so well. Not an easy thing to put so much samples together, I call this track chaos in structure;-).
Love the range of musical elements and there especially the guitar that gives a complete cool touch.
Very well done , Sir!

Hey, can anybody of the Ed-Pickers make it to an Ed Pick?

You should try cracking the Da Vinci Code, coz this is a hip hop puzzle, enigma. mystery whatever in reverse.

Cool and expertly done just the placement of the samples in the stereo field is worth listening to alone.

damn straight up the mixter lane, gas pedal to the floor, lyrics flyin’ off the handle like spit from a racehorse runnin round the track at high noon, blazin the saddles, wreckin the paddles, high strung lighting up the meters and breaking all frequencies into a mad eddy of sound. Distinctly tight, all shagrugge. oh, that’s just what came to mind. What a commercial for the mixter!

Drat. Beaten to the punch by fourstones on the ED pick. This is awesome man. Chop-Art.

Who is that at the very beginning? “Spin the record”. Is it one of DJ Lang’s crew? And the electric guitar, who’s that?

Not trying to bust your balls here. Just having fun picking things out. : )

thanks all

the spin the record is from Nails (I think) out of J.Lang’s Dirty water crew pellas. The guitar lead was spliced together using 12 or so of the royalty free samples that came with Audition. I’ve just begun to explore this.

It’s a pleasant surprise to post this track go out of town for a couple of days, then come back to this response. Thanks everyone!

Love it, admire it no end, Shag (can I call you that?). I don’t know where you get the patience to begin splicing this together and then the skill to pull it off, but man you sure did. Your work fascinates me, I must go through your back catalog.

Could you please let me know when the support group is meeting ;-)?
