the formula only knows how to handle one upload for the song matrix — so i just manually changed out this for the instrumental. hope that is cool.
mysterious ambience that is very film worthy. Kara’s vocal is perfectly placed and treated. there are lovely sound delicacies throughout this intricate mix. |
.
Thank you Snowflake, and for fixing the playlist ;-) When I uploaded it it was about 6am here.

Mmmm. Lush. The percussion reminds me of the type used in the opening and title track of Eno’s “Another Green World,” just reinforcing the GREEN-ness of it as it washes over.

.
Thank you Melody ;-) The color of green was the only that came into my mind while mixing that.

Fabulous. Great use of the kthugha sample to guide and shape the tune.
Intelligent, thoughtful and deep. You have done so much work to keep the main sample and it comes together beautifully. |
.
Thank you QS ;-) Must admit it was quite unique sample. Wasn’t remixed too often here.

Fantastic mix. To me, it’s slightly dissonant nature makes it very mysterious and ethereal. Great job!

A groove like this could be featured in a soundtrack of a cyberpunk western sci-fi movie. Reminds me a little of the background music to put in the anime series; Trigun. Nicely done with this one! I diggs it.
|
.
Thank you ;-) Yeah, I’ve been thinking of that kind of movies too while listening to many tracks today.
All of them betray somehow the turbulence of contemporary world we try to survive in. |

omfg this is fantastic. i can’t get enough of how the musicians here can take something you think you know and completely turn it on its head - so creative! doxent, this is a wonderfully creative use of all the source material, this is going straight into my “essentials” playlist in iTunes!
|
.
Thank you ;-) and for great samples that weren’t very much used before. I didn’t have to dig very long to find them. And thanks to whoever gave me the choice of remixing you.

Right?!!! Have you heard Copperhead’s song about just this phenomena? It’s the magic of ccMixter. |

Absolutely hypnotic! Love what you did with kthugha’s samples! So cool how you took the story in another direction… enhancing the amazing backing track you and your source created. Fantastic. Thanks for the include!

Beautiful sonic art. Exotic. Balanced. Evocative. Beguiling. Much enjoyed. Bravo. (And so glad you are part of our ccMixter musical family!)

Nice soundscape. I dig it. The spoken word fits well and comes in at the right moment. I could hear this playing in the background of a cool, hipster cocktail party in the city.
|
.
Thank you MC Jack ;-) Never thought about hipsters while remixing that. Though it might be quite incommon with a 19th century late decadence movement. Those Sherlock Holmes type of times.
