I’m speechless. There’s enough soul in here to heal the planet, and it’s hurtin’ pretty bad around now.

What a thoroughly gorgeous bit of work. You guys are awesome, period.

Smooth, clear, and soulful. What is astonishing is that you changed the key of the original vocal - and it still sounds like an unaltered natural performance!

Dammit! You did it to me again! It’s even more amazing to me because I’m SSSSOOOOOO used to hearing this song in a certain context. But then you do what you always do: sneak up behind me and go: ‘Psst? Frank? Yo, check THIS out…’ And once I again, I’m sold. DAMN - this so fr*ckin’ awesome! You always blindside with your POV and I am never disappointed. I love the groove & I love the vibe you laid down. I’m TOTALLY tickled by that re-occuring ‘oh-aye’! And believe it or not, I like…No!…LOVE the way you play in and with the backgrounds & ad-libs. You have an amazing vocal instrument in your own right so I will never EVER have a problem with you getting in there to sing what’cha feelin’! It’s soulful, funky, sexy & downright dope! EXCELSIOR!!!

BTW, this really sounds like a ‘Coast-2-Coast’ Exclusive…LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

This mix just makes you smile and feel good inside! It has an old Luther-esque vibe that I really love. Wonderful job inside and out!
Lasswell and Loveshadow are two of my personal favorites. I have to admit addiction to “Drunk In A Smokey Bar, Drinking An Imperial Porter Mix”. I will have to forward you some links to our show ( or where we play your music regularly. I have really neglected to reach out and let you know how much our audience loves your music. I haven’t heard the original, but this sounds like it could be it if I didn’t know any better. Veteran sound production skills are show here. Beautiful, perfect, number one production.

What I say on this side of the pond is, “This is really frightfully good, Mr Shadow, and can I make you a cup of tea and some Marmite soldiers?” xxxx

i have this prescient vision of you at the Grammy’s as they call you to the podium to accept the award for most ‘Soulful Brit Home-Recordist’ for the second straight year. Let’s party like it’s 2009!

This made me smile, it’s relaxed and sunny. “sole” means sun in Italy, I wonder what did it mean to you.
I missed Luther in my musical education, so the vocal snippets recall me the PWT (Pretty White Things) of another great producer of the ’80s..

You are two soulful cats, This is definitely a classic. Really exceptional work. You’ve got Frank laying in the pocket, sweetly, and the additional vocals are amazing. It’s definitely heating up on the mixter for Christmas.. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us….

Peace! ;)-

Incredible music from two INCREDIBLE talents.

It’s such an honor to dwell with great artists and producers here at ccMixter.

Keep up the GREAT work LS! (Frank makes it so easy with those velvet vocals.)

fyi.. We are revolutionizing the music industry one track at a time.

pretty bloody perfect. Seems to me that you two are two slices of bread with a good dollop of ccmixter holding you together—there that there comment is why you shouldn’t drink and type at the same time— but I dont care.

Just beautiful, so full and melodic. Really nice vocals and you additions compliment and embellish the beauty of it. Just love, very jazzy.
