ditto ditto, I’ve heared it and agree!
The sound is a problem though. I suspect it’s the low bit rate of 64k. KT - please! - take 128k or even better 192k for encoding. (This also applies to your sample and pella uploads…) |

these are at 128 k, 3rd attempt. I am not defending the mixing, but just to let you know I am interested in higher trebley sounds. You should not be having a problem with the pella, as they are clean, without fx and within normal parameters. If you dislike their quality, move on to others.

ok 3rd attempt. Even though I was thoroughly prepared to hate your guts, you have actually unearthed a problem for me, for which I am eternally grateful. I had spent all this time and money on a high end pre-amp, mic and carefully edited my setting in ableton 6 to be of highest quality. However, I had gotten a new mac laptop and neglected to customize the settings on itunes (to which all my stuff is automatically imported), therefore completely diminishing all my hard work at better sound. I had to eat some crow yesterday, and now again it seems I am dining on the black oily bird. The settings are now at 96k mono, the highest itunes allows and I kicked up to khz to 44.1 I hope this helps, but it has helped me. Everyday is a school days I suppose. Sheesh!

Hi Kaer. I’ve been hearing your work since I enter the site and I haven’t seen this discussion… I don’t understand so much of the problem, or maybe your response. If you got a preamp and a mic, thats all you need. I don’t know the problem of itunes. you can record with a semi pro program (I dont know if ableton records. I suppose so). For that purpose you can use a program for music edition (I don’t know why the issue in itunes). If your machine supports records in 96k is ok. But I suggest to record in 44100 But in 32 bit, and then convert thru a good dithering sistem to 44100 16 bit. I think the bit depth is more important than the frequency. (in my opinion).
Pd: I asked for your lyrics on My apocalypse. I’ve been working on the song (I’m masterizing now). It’s been a while ‘cause I was doing something else, but I hope to upload the song next week. Hope you will like it. |

It’s all simply…great..(except the the balance like i’ve said). Your choice of sound, the way that you built this piece, the originality, your interpretation…all is great…It’s unbelievable…!!!!! It’s a pity this problem of sound, because all your harmonic work is a little “bury”. But, it could be interesting that you play with the mono/stereo. On the first part (the first verse), you could stay in mono, and open the stereo when the bass is coming. I love this moment when it starts and the harmonic changement comes. On the second half of the piece, you could bring something else, i don’t know what, but just a little changement, harmonic, or melodic, it looks like too to the first part of the song (i’m maybe not very clear, but i don’t know how to explain that). You really impressive me, sincerely, but something else irritate me…Heeeyyyy ccMixter’ friends…don’t you hear that this girl is GENIUUUUUS…!!!!

Very True. Count me in as a fan too. But I agree with dd about the sound. Sounds like an old cassette demo unfortunately (not necessarily a bad thing). The music is very, very solid though. |
