Wow. Creative concept and you pulled it off beautifully. I saw that attribution list and thought that’s either going to be something quite special or a real mess. It’s not a mess.

I wholeheartedly agree! It is a special and creative angle at mixing.

Not an easy remix to attempt. I recognized quite a few of the vocals chosen by catching a couple of words here and there. Nicely done.

So cool how the piano slowly plucks behind an ever-changing chorus of women… Very creative and well-executed. Thanks for including lil’ ol’ me.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to comment - but a lot of life stuff has come in the way.
Thank you for doing this. I think it’s entirely appropriate, because you know I have a fondness for the ccm ladies. :) That said, when I listened to it I didn’t get it from a musical perspective. Conceptually I love it, and there are times when it’s musical genius - but to be perfectly honest I think it’s better without the piano because the harmonies frequently clash. I would love the opportunity to play with this idea further and maybe make an all-new piano for it. Would you mind uploading your vocal track for me to try out an idea or two? Again - sorry for being so late to the party, and thank you for doing this. |

Hello Mikael! Good to hear you’re still around! Yes, we thought it would be an appropriate thing to do for or because of you :) and yes, at the end we did not have the time to do a proper mash-up with your nice piano sample… or any of your tunes. That’s really a pity, but you know, we like it that way :D it’s our timestamp of notorious imperfection.
We were thinking to upload a sample but couldn’t find the one that was clean. It would be fantastic if you - or anybody - would bother to do something with it. What I just uploaded now is an earlier version. Check it out, if it does not work I’ll post the 8 or 9 stems of the chopped-up vocals and post them in mono. Best, b.k. |

Sometimes people think grabbing a few vocals and letting them sit together is easy stuff to do. It’s not and to get it to work well needs a good ear and a a touch of magic.
Here the magic is really working well! |

TRULY EXTRAORDINARY! This is just so fantastic I’m overwhelmed — our voices together are gorgeous. I love that I can recognize everyone’s unique voice in this choral pastiche. Your cutting and recombining is sensitively done. I just love this track and am so pleased to be a part of it. Beautiful work.

Dear Susan, those are too kind a words for us :) but we agree that the ladies together sound gorgeous - no matter what one does with the chopped vocals. There is an unique power in the raw ‘pellas… it’s breathtaking what you guys put online! We made several versions, each with variations, causing to our ears an overload of gorgeousness. Finally we decided to go for the air_lomegisch version, the one that remained raw and unconducted. Like an orchestra tuning, the ccmixtresses enter the stage and perform a sound check warming up their voices. We sense the potential of the choir and recognize individual strength in the different voices… I like to be in that space of excitement and anticipation before the start of a concert.
That said, I agree to colab’s criticism concerning the mash-up with his piano and we might do another version some other time… one where we can hear the conductor’s baton tapping sound at the end of the piece. Love, b.k. |

A beautiful mix. The way the vocal samples are put together is wonderful. It’s like a lush rain falling just when a rose blooms.
I hope things are well with you all, and greetings from Texas! |
