Beautiful. Both the arrangement and the voice.

I don’t care whether you like the fact I like it or not either. (we’re such rebels) : )

thanks! - I don’t know about masterpiece, but I’m going to be very un-British and say that I really like this one myself!

..and frankly..it is really good. The complementary rhythm between the harp and the percu is a rich idea..Impressive..!

thanks!

The cross-rhythms are supposed to give the feeling of drifting clouds - which is about all I understand of the words.
I’m not sure I always got the rhythm of the pella matched up right, but maybe it kind of works anyway!

You’ve got me there! I could say it was in the spirit of sharing… but the truth is I’d had too much to drink when I wrote that!

I was blown away by the editorial pick, thanks Victor

I particularly like the melody to this remix, with its subtle keyboard theme. Here your vocals and instrumentation blend together more effectively than the prior things I’ve heard you post on this site.
I am glad Victor selected this one for an editor’s pick, because it deserves it. I like that you create mixes with a kind of subtlety to them that sounds sophisticated to me.

Thanks Gurdonark - and also to BOCrew, IceSun, cdk, J.Lang - all great mixers, so it means a lot.

Lovely chill atmosphere! Really liked it.

I will only point out (as native Spanish speaker I am) that the vocals are a little out of sync, especially at 1:20 to 1:30.

Thanks, I’m not a Spanish speaker, so I was worried about that.
I can hear what you mean at 1:20 to 1:30 - I’ll try to fix it. If there are any other bits that sound wrong to you, I’d be very grateful if you could let me know!

appreciate your help

OK,
you should bring the vocals a little earlier, especially the first part and the bridge (the rest is pretty good). I worked this out for you as a tip:
0:10.8 -> 0:10.7
0:22.0 -> 0:21.9
1:15.6 -> 1:15.1
1:26.5 -> 1:25.7
Hope this helps.

thanks so much for your help!!

I’ve uploaded another version, hope it’s an improvement!

Yeap that was an improvement; the first part of the bridge is OK now but you are still missing the second part: vocals at 1:26.5 should start at 1:25.7

This might finally be it????

ups! too much earlier… now it’s starting at 1:25.3; it should start at 1:25.7. In other words, the vocals at this point should start aprox. 0.35 secs. after the beat.

I can’t ‘hear’ this one, so your help is really valuable.

Let me know if there’s ever anything I can do in exchange!

Yesss you did it, congratulations!! :)

This song really deserved a well sync’ed vocals, that’s why I wanted to help you. ;)

As a tip, when you work with foreign language vocals I suppose that you should find the most stressed or emphasized points and align them with the beat.

Aside, it’s a pity that the vocals have some background noise that is really difficult to remove.

Many, many thanks!

I think what made this one even harder was that SilviaO has a lovely and subtle syncopated feel to her performance, so it’s difficult to know where the downbeat should be (that’s my excuse!)

You may be right indeed, good excuse! ;)

Guys. I’m amazed with the huge collaboration work you did on this track. It’s a pleasure to receive this kind of special treatment. Sorry for the background noise… really that bad?

Not *that* bad but pretty noticeable, at least with headphones.

I’m really glad you like it.

You have a beautiful, beautiful voice, I hope you give us many more vocals to set here.

(it may be my cheap speakers, but I hadn’t even noticed the background noise!)
