Hi oldDog, always interesting to hear what others have done with an acappella after you’ve done your mix. I didnt want to listen to the other mix of this acappella before doing mine ;-)
We used it in two very different way. But this vocal kept its beauty. I like the mood introduced by the piano, the simplicity of the song. Cool ending too. I enjoyed this very intimistic mix. It’s like being in the same room than you, playing piano and SilviaO singing… |

achingly beautiful! The piano playing is supportive, yet memorable, and the vocal track treatment is spectacular in an understated sensitive way. A masterpiece!

You tricked me. I was trying to remember the night we met at your studio while you played and I sang. It´s really nice the warmth this mix gives. Minimal but delicate and beautiful… just as butterflies.

Wow man you really nailed this one :) OldDog doing what he does best, composing the most beautiful and subtle piano to fit with such a compelling vocal.
I love the vocal re-tunings, I’m not so terribly keen on the processing on central vocal, I’d rather it sounded less chorused, a little more like the other harmonies, but that’s just my preference. That piano arrangement is awesome though, did I mention that? lol :) |
