Wow, this captures the present quite succinctly, I know I’m obsessed with all the stats and projections now trying to make sense of what’s to come.

This is a great song! If I want to use this acapella in my track for commercial purposes, what actions are required of me? Should I request an acapella license or indicate the author of the acapella in the title of my track? Or should I call it a remix? Help me figure it out.

Hi krimistoller! Thanks for your kind words. I licensed this track CC BY, so you can use it for free as long as you give credit. So yes, you’ll need to indicate my name as the featured artist. The title should look like this: Numbers (feat. Kara Square) by krimistoller
I recommend calling it a remix. Please include a link to this song page when possible (i.e. Bandcamp, Soundcloud, YouTube). Let me know if you have further questions. Oooh, mix-up’s over, I can recommend this now.
I really didn’t intend to work with Numbers for the firefly mixter. I had in mind a voice-over—with your instrumentals from several other tracks as backing—about being a kid in Ohio and catching “lightning bugs”. “Numbers” was to be the glue these other pieces would segue through. But that just kept turning sad. Maybe I will get back to it, maybe it will turn into something else entirely. Thankfully, your voice had other ideas ;-) Thanks as always for your generous posting: stems, dry voice, .mid and all. Great to listen to, a pleasure to work with. |
