Great work out track. You make some of the best Techno/Dance tracks.
|
.
thanks JL! You’re much too kind!
I’m sure we have at least a double album’s worth of great work-out music here at ccM. I’ve actually started a work-out playlist just a little while ago, but it’s woefully incomplete so far. |

Nice work. I really didn’t think the twangy and techno bits could be brought together but they were.
Just the right balance of treatment on the vocals btw, they sit really well in their surroundings, and you know I’m fussy about that stuff :-). This really made me smile. Thanks. |
.
thanks Ms. E.! I know you’re a tough critic about vocal placements, so this means a lot. :-)

It was a really innovative idea to put that guitar in a techno mix… That make this remix unique!

Thanks WM! It was intimidating to follow up your great remix. So I really appreciate your kind comment!

Dreamy twangy .. indeed! This is just wonderful! Love the tempo, the arrangement, the breakdown.. it’s a real treat! Great job with the vocal mix as well. Lovely all around!

Thanks for your kind words, KJ! I hope we’ll be treated to another offering from you real soon now. There is no rule that you should stop remixing after being ed. picked :-)

Guitars “a lo pulp fiction”, Enya on the dance, different stuff, but only a great result. An extraordinary and excellent mix for Queenie vox. Sound and production of high quality. In short, a delightful song to hear it again and again. Congrats.

Thanks OM! Queenie deserves the credit for writing such a catchy tune and her elegant vocal delivery. It was a real pleasure to work with.

Love it. The whole song just carries one away (to a very nice place!)

Thanks AM! Your comment means a lot because you are one of the very finest dream merchants around here - although “merchant” is the wrong term, since you share your dreams for free. We’ll have to come up with a word for people who don’t sell dreams, but give them away freely as gifts! :-)

I heard the original and think slowing it down has added some real value. Those guitar strums are delightful (mmm, scott pauses to think whether he ever uses that word… like ever, actually no, but it seems fitting so I’m leaving it there).
Its great that you’ve completely built around the existing structure. Move over pet shop boys, Spinmeisters in town). Oh and one last point, I really like the drum fill you use there. I personally think Queenie, Shannon H and yourself should start an 80’s style band (but with that added modern touch). CD’s…. I’d buy ‘em… |
.
Hi SA! Thanks for your warm words! I’m always in for revisiting the 80s with a little bit of a 2k9 twist! :-)
And sorry for making you say “delightful”! :-) |

Dreamy twang it is! Haunting guitar. The synths are AWESOME as always sir.:-) very fun mix to jam too
|
.
Thanks - love that WD logo, too!
Hehe - you can always add some parts and remix the remix - it would be totally cool! (or if you’d just like some sub components of my remix, let me know and I’ll upload accordingly!) |

Hey Spin
The guitars are a great idea-makes this stand out. Production is great-all crispy and clean. Excellent work. |
.
Thanks for your kind words, AT! It’s not easy keeping up with you, who has been known to explore an unusual stylistic combination or two! :-) Hope things are well on your coast!

Spin, sorry for being so late for reviewing. A serious flu hold me in my bed and I could spent a little time while mesmerizinhg in high fever dreams ;-)
As for dreams, yes, this has a very dreamy feeling and I wished you had made the intro much longer with this “Italo Western Sergio Leone” guitar feel. Wonderful idea! I do not agree fully with your “techno” tag, but fully with ambient and dreamy ones!! :-) |
.
Thanks and hello TJ! I hope you are feeling better now. And yes, I am a big fan of Sergio Leone. I always want to be the guitar player in his soundtracks!

How is it that I haven’t ever commented on this track? It’s fabuloso!!!!! You have a great way with a twangy guitar!
|
.
thanks SJ! This remix was the first time I got into adding something twangy into one of my remixes. And now it seems I don’t know how to stop! :-)
