I don’t know if there’s something wrong with me but I find this piece of music very seducing and sexy. Can’t be more precise in public other than revealing it’s got something to do with belly dancing.

sounds like a Mummer’s band of fearless innovators plying their trade up & down Bourbon Street.

rush hour in paris. the business man dodges cars, bikes and fellow suits. underneath his immaculate haircut a nagging feeling which he cannot describe. he’s hasting on nonetheless. he’ll find out eventually. he could have a heart attack. we tell him to slow down, he wouldn’t listen. too late he knows but cannot tell.

I found myself bellowing along without realizing it. The best songs to my ears force me to emit sound… so… I like this.

I’m not sure why but for some reason it reminds me of a nature documentary where this armored insect type climbs to the top of a tree to get to a female and battles many competitors on the way, his technique is to throw them over his head…one by one they all get tossed until he finally gets to the top and mates with the female….then he throws her overboard too!
Don’t mean to be misogynistic or anything, but it made me chuckle ..lol |

A typical Speck’s mix , as a travelling to discover the unknown space.

It’s interesting - since I heard you speaking in the mixin kitchen interview your music sounds different to me … in a positive way. (by the way, it was a great collection that Susan collected)

The first impression I get is what amazing use of the stereo field, which never leaves me even as the drums, accordion, bass, clarinet, sax, and strings kick in. The second impression I get is that I really should be tapping my feat. The last impression is that I should go plug my wah-wah pedal in and play along. :)

A brilliant track, Speck, which I can hear being performed as part of an avant-garde piece of theatre or opera at the Almeida Theatre in London. And, yes, let’s have some mating insects and belly dancers in there too! xxxx
