Introducing the MixterVerse



Something new is coming into the musical universe. ccMixter and MixterPlus are colliding for a new listening experience… MixterVerse Radio!

You’re invited to contribute pells, samples, remixes, radio bumpers, and artwork that become part of this new musical universe. Upload your creations to ccMixter and MixterPlus. The uploads on both sites will populate MixterVerse Radio.

RADIO, BUT DIFFERENT

The MixterVerse offers a new kind of online radio built around human-made music. Instead of endless scrolling through an infinite catalog, press play and enter a musical atmosphere. Chill. Ambient. Party. Downtempo. Instrumental.

Big Bang is also an experiment in bringing back something we’ve been missing: the feeling of radio.

Not an endless algorithm.
Not corporate playlists.
Not music buried beneath infinite choice.

HOW IT WORKS

Pick a station that inspires you and upload music on either site with that tag (chill, lofi, instrumental, ambient, downtempo, dance, funky). These tags add your track to the radio station rotation.

And because the MixterVerse is about more than simply listening, we’re also creating a visual universe around the music. Artists are invited to upload images at MixterPlus that will display on MixterVerse Radio while everyone listens.

Think of every upload as a new star. Every sample is a planet. Every remix is a collision. Every collaboration creates another constellation. Together, we’re building a living galaxy of sound.

So Nice! Just like I saw it some years ago when i tried to begin ccmixers radio (not to be confused with offical ccmixters radio stations and/or streams), only then better regulated and managed better. And to be fair, this belongs in the hands of the ccmixters admin and staff. All my blessings for this initiative!!!

Maybe we could explain in quite a literal sense what we’re doing? x And what/where the submissions are specifically going to? x

if I may, i would suggest some minimum info on the radio site, such that if someone gets the link, and know nothing of ccmixter, they have the basic idea of where this music is coming from.

eg this radio features music from the ccmixter/mixterverse community, a group of musicians who create music collaboratively. more info about the community (link), otherwise please enjoy the radio! another little thing : I initally didn t understand the image attribution, maybe good to write Image by NNNN
