lol, we could have just collaborated since I got you and you got me! Love the remix deeply and am honored. You captured the mellow home style sound the original samples were meant for. Also, strong message with your story and vocals. Thank you and will now replay again!

Awesome new Snowflake song!
A benefit to Secret Mixters is we get a new song by Snowflake, and this one is super special :)
I am relieved you were able to record, and I am also grateful to John Jones for helping you out.
Always a moment of kismet when people get each other in the secret mixters :)
I was moved by your lyrics and appreciate the perspective you brought — it helped me to understand more with your description.
I hope this song inspires others who got shackled like that, it’s got to be the hardest thing to break away from.
Much to kindness to you and Darkroom (and John Jones) :)

Thank you for your incredibly kind feedback Apoxode! I’m also relieved I had enough improvement in my hands to do a bit of editing and mixing, with special help from John Jones.

Now that you’ve said it, I too hope others can break free of whatever shackles them, and maybe listening may just help them make the leap.

Your support means so much!

Clever analogy between medieval chemical philosophy of transmutation and changing personal pain into strength.

Smart and creative, too.

I have always been grateful to have been born a man even though I have not always acted like one. I suppose the great divide between the sexes came about because of thousands of years of male domination based on physical strength. Now in more enlightened times we men still find it hard to give up a little of our power to the fairer species but at least we are now trying although Fred Flintstone can still be found pulling Wilma around by her hair!

As to the music, well as always it’s up there in thought and tone

Thank you for your thoughtful words my friend. Observing the wild animals here on Kauai I’m learning about our species’ evolution, having emerged from the animal kingdom. The male roosters and feral cats are viciously violent with each other, fighting for dominance. Fred Flinstone is a caveman so I guess he didn’t move far from primate behavior hahahah

There are matriarchal societies however, elephants for one. Their intelligence and wisdom is inspiring. And they are usually quite peaceful animals, except when protecting their young from danger. So perhaps humanity can learn a thing or two from them (instead of pushing them to extinction).

Thanks for listening and understanding.

Peace.

We are always still in the process of becoming who we are. Whether it is alchemy. apprenticeship. who knows - but we’re always still in a state of becoming. Thanks for capturing that so beautifully.

What a moving piece… I love how it is your story, but the universal appeal is immense. It really gets me thinking about my “secret name.” And the arrangement is perfect… perfect for contemplation. I adore John Jones’ acoustic guitar solo. And, as always, your voice is divine.
