I’m also very grateful to John Jones for playing bass and an acoustic guitar solo, helping with my vocal comp (my hands have been out of commission) and also giving me mix notes (his ears are next level….) I was raised in a strict religion that taught — all women bear the weight of Eve’s original sin. Through repeated reenactment, we learned to carry her shame as our own and were forced to obey our husbands as punishment. It has taken years of deconstructing and healing to realize that shame created my capacity from which my strength is derived. The compost in our lives creates the flowers. Thanks for listening!
