OD,
In my opinion, a fine composition, mix and backing for this great new pell. So many mixers out there are so quick to put out good mixes, it’s sometimes daunting to be a newbie here, but learning from listening is always a pleasure. This mix takes to places and times I can’t put a finger on it, and while it’s a very indie mix, I feel more of something other than grunge. I did feel like at some point the energy was going to amp up, but don’t feel too cheated for it laying low. Nonetheless, it’s downloaded and will be given further hearings for the sake of enjoyment and learning. Excellent production by the way.

Thanks for listening, and for the thoughtful comment.
Yes, you’re right, grunge isn’t quite right, but there’s something ‘dirty’ about it! Maybe a little reggae feel in some of the rhythms and use of delay.

BTW, just checked out your mix of KH’s Around Dusk - a great mix, suits her unusual and rich voice very well!

Thanks for the listen and comment! I appreciate all the ears I can get. One of my sons occassionally hums from that now that he heard it so many times during mixing. My boys even told our guests tonight about my new addiction to cc. Where’s the twelve-tone, I mean twelve-step program for this?

I like the idea of a ccMixter twelve -tone program ;)
But seriously, I can’t think of a better way of learning about creating music than being let loose on ccM!

This has a twangy discordancy that gives the mix an edgy feel.

The drumming adds to this as it sounds as if its not really part of the mix and its just someone playing along.(Sorta thing if you know what I mean!!)

I like it!!

Wow. Different but still solid. I wouldn’t have guess that you have this much teen angst in you. ; )
