Definitely my favourite of your ukulele love songs (so far). Fantastic track just as it is.
|
.
Thanks, Per. I did a version with some bass, light percussion, and an atmospheric bell pad… now I’m thinking the bass is too much… probably needs simplified. Simplicity may be where it’s at with this one.

Such a beautiful song! Love the melody!!!
Agree with Per… It’s just great as it is! |
.
Thank you muchly, Alex. I’m glad it comes across well as it is (though I can’t help but hope someone remixes it… something could make it pop!).

Another fine performance as I know your mixes always will be.
I disagree about the backing being simple as I think it’s crying out for bells and whistles and all manner of things to attack the senses! It’s still a great piece on its own I’m just never satisfied! |
.
Thank you very much, RT. Well, I’d love to hear someone add the ‘bells and whistles.’ I love to be proven wrong (musically, that is)!

I think you just affirmed/confirmed what it is that I find so appealing about your music. You do have a heart. And it comes through loud and clear. Beautiful piece.
|
.
Sheesh, that certainly warms the heart I’ve proven I have. Thank you, Speck. Your kindness overwhelms.
Technically speaking, when I record a song like this… I have to be in the house along… shut my eyes and just feel it like the day I wrote it… let the emotion loose. Similarly, when I doing a happy-type song, I make sure I’m smiling while I record. |

Many times I’ve thought, “Yes, this one’s definitely my favourite,” when listening to you - because all your work is outstanding. But this is really, really beautiful and it is my favourite (for now. Until the next one.)

It looks as if I’ve copied Per but I hadn’t read his review. It’s just that we’re linked by seeds in our ears and we have naturally good taste!

Congrats Kara. I love this!
The melodies you sing in this are wonderful. Immersive, full of emotions. The instruments are fabulous, a lovely song!!! Your album is going great! All the songs are very good with a great variety of melodies. I wonder why I didnt get the email notify! |
.
Thank YOU x many! The “ooo…” melodies were pretty much spontaneous. I recorded multiple tracks and when I accidentally played them together, they overlapped and sounded pretty cool! :)

.
The ooo melodies are amazing, a lucky discover!
But I was talking about this: “I don’t have the answer I never claimed that I just have a heart With your name on it” I love it. really nice lyrics and melody. Sorry if i ask, but the chord progression of that part is G A# F A ? (i’m unsure this time) |
|
.
Thanks again! Very close chord guesses! No need to be sorry… I should probably start putting the chords in the description- because really, why not? :)
Verse (Love…) Dm A Am A7 Chorus (I don’t have…) Gm Bbmaj7 F A |

Beautiful. Wow, Kara. You have come so far and your production, melodies, composition and lyrics just continue to get better!

.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It’s funny, I’ve been purposely trying to write lyrics in a more universal way- but without losing the feeling. Perhaps I’ve stumbled upon a worthy approach? Thanks again, Paul.
