a pretty straightfoward mix, Lisa, sounds a little close to the original for my taste but it’s a start. Some more cutting/moving might be called for next time.

Also, the levels do jump out a little. I’m not sure what kind of limiter is in protools but of the high dbs could use a little attenuation.

I think that the heavier metal riffs are an improvement over the prior mix, but I would have liked to see you go further that way.
The opening guitar run really appeals to me, but I’d like it better if it were more raucous and
unrestrained—a real “rock” experience. It’s just a tad “safe” (subservient to the beat, rather than owning it) for my tastes.

The guitar/vocal blend works well on this one. I’d like to hear a roving bass line added to this one, to increase the metal effect.

This mix is still a good listen.
