Niiiice. The one idea that came to me the strongest while listening to this song was how much it felt like a lullaby with a backbeat; dreamy and yet funky simultaneously! Well done…

Thanks Frank! Yes, there is a “off to dreamland” quality to it; the mix started with Nurykabe’s string sample, and progressed from there- glad you enjoyed it!

I would be 100% happy with something like this. I would even be more than 100% happy. The only thing that I would change is adding some more vocals to it. But otherwise a very good piece of music.

100% Thanks! I was considering adding more vox, actually; I may end up doing just that, and replacing the file.

personally, i’d leave it the way it is. in fact, i probably would have just named it “i am your forever”. :)

oh man, i forgot how much i love those rjmarshall strings. you’ve created a really nice relaxing groove here. unique, different, and really nicely put together.

Thanks- the rjmarshall strings actually aren’t on here, nice as they are; I just used an acoustic guitar snippet from that. For some lovely chunks o’ strings, go to Freesound and enter “realstrings” in the search box ;-)

Music is really strange!

Sometimes things just fit so well and you don’t know why. This is a great example of this.

The lack of more vocals adds to this for some reason.

Don’t know why I like this so much but I do.

I don’t know much about a lot of things so please don’t worry!!

Thanks RT- trust me, it’s actually a great feeling for me when somebody says they don’t know why they like a piece of mine, but they do… while I’d encourage anyone to learn as much as possible about music theory, production, psychology, etc., I’m still pretty much a “ear-and-instinct” kinda guy; I’ll fiddle with this or that until it sounds “right” to me, and sometimes I don’t know why something seems to work- I just know that it does, and hope others enjoy it too…

I love this very much- my only little bitty issue is that the vocals are alarming when they first come in- they sound not as integrated as the rest of the song. Still it’s very beautiful, well-crafted, magical…

Thanks! Duly noted; I’ll be eventually replacing the file with something less vocally startling, but certainly glad the vocalist approves otherwise…
