Haha. I only have the one and he’s plenty enough. :)

I love this. Very real. Very human. Thanks for sharing.

Parenting is a great ride, but sometimes I wonder what we were thinking going for 4…. Thanks for the listen and comment, Colab!

Terribly true and funny, nice work——.

Consider pulling the vocals down a bit for better contrast.
Unless intended, some distortion on Vox 1st vs.

Hope you don’t mind constructivism

My best Sal

Hi Sal, sorry for the delayed response…. I am very much an amateur, so I do appreciate any and all constructivism… I was trying to go for a little bit of distortion on the 1st verse to represent the voice of parental frustration (especially on the “Why is your hair stuck with gum” bit)… But I think you’re right that I could tone it down a little…

Thanks for the comment!

Brilliant! Sounds like your four are still little too! The sock line particularly resonated with me. We moved into our home 10 years ago. Before we moved in, we had a “sock basket” where we put all the freshly laundered socks for matching later. When we moved, my husband really wanted to get rid of the sock basket believing the socks would never be properly sorted, matched and put away. He was right. To this day, we have the sock basket stashed in the closet, overflowing with socks — some with mates, some without. It is dormant in the summer when everyone wears flip flops. But come September, that sock basket will be floating around the house as the various sock-wearers in the house scramble for a pair, not necessarily matching, to put on as they rush off to school and work.

Thanks, Susan. Yes, the kids are all still quite young, ages 4, 5, 7 and 9… It’s a wonderful messy ride… I like the idea of a sock basket… Socks with a unique design or print are the worst, as they’re the hardest to match. My wife and I try our best to buy multiple pair of the same style to make sorting easier, but despite our best efforts there always seems to be a pile of single stragglers… :)

Really really nice. A funny listen and the musical arrangement is a fabulous 70’s British glam rock ballad.

Thanks, St. Paul. I think Pink Floyd may have indeed influenced how a lot of this turned out, although I may have been feeling a bit more Will.I.Am following the second chorus…. :)
