Oh man. I agree with 404 that this is great work as always (sound selection, production, …) - but there’s a whole new game going on here with the harmonies and chord transitions - it’s absolutely outstanding.

Ahh something to warm up this chilly winter … smoother than molten chocolate.

I’m amazed at how the vocals blend so well together. Great stuff, nice to see you back.

I know it is no coincidence that you uploaded this on St. Valentine’s Day. A valentine for the broken hearted and hopeful. Thank you so much for this aural valentine. Way better than chocolate, silkier than a secret kiss.

This is biting into a fine truffle — a surprising, sweet, and utterly satisfying delicacy.

Jeff, this is so classy and deep! It definitely reminds me of a Loose Ends vibe. Weren’t they British as well?

I’m always so very impressed with your work.

I’d love to add some strings to this!

Go ahead, i’ll do separate stems if you need them let me know. I would love to hear you make this fly.

Yea Loose Ends for sure. I was channeling a lot of influences into this. Bass was the hardest to get the portamento into the right spots.

Hey Shadow,

I took 5 days off from work due to overload/burnout. I’m just tired. There are so many things that I’ve neglected for too long (taxes, cd burns for friends, cleaning etc.).

Regarding adding strings, I imagine initially that I wouldn’t need separate stems. All I need is your master track to come up with the string parts….then I can either mix it with separate stems or I can send my stems to you.

Cheers,

Cameron

aMAZing bass track on this one. I have a sneaking suspicion you’ve done this before.

I’ve only recently gotten into the whole ‘lounge’ scene. I’m not accustomed to the sub genres of the general ‘chillout’ / ‘lounge’ movement quite yet, but I’ve been buying up jazz/lounge CD’s like a mad man. I think because I spend so much time in front of my laptop screen writing code each day and the fact I’m in my 30’s now, I appreciate the smoother mellow sound waves after a stressful day at the office. Your style is intrinsically cool and the smoothness is the default setting. Now pass me my merlot…
