How do you do it? I guess it’s like they say: If you do something often enough, it become effortless. Well done, Jeff! Once again…just beautiful!

Incredibly inventive chord progression (which is Loveshadow’s specialty). I only posted the stems hours before this remix was produced).
Outstanding quality in record time.. |
.
I was just lucky to be at the front of the line.
Thanks for the muse x |

The mixer may have rushed but the song takes it’s time very nicely. There is a poignancy to this that is a hallmark of your very best work.
On this, yet another rainy morning, as I contemplate the mystery of another day and what it will bring, I will hear Shannon’s voice reminding me gently that “life is strange…there is no rhyme or reason.” P.S. Nice to hear the old geetar again. :-) |
.
When you take the drive from Bird in the Hand to New York City, you see a lot of big sky but you know for sure by the end of it that Life Is Strange

….Just a word about the HIDI on this one…It’s outstanding. You make it sound easy. Lots of people around here would be reluctant I imagine to share their process to the level you do here, not for fear of revealing the magic but just out of lack of caring. You’ve been a great help to me over the years, but this will help a lot of others I imagine. |

Its a given that your offerings will always sound wonderful with your adept techno skills….
This one is very beautiful. Love the adaptation of the vocal… a warm enveloping song… a song for contemplation and sitting in front of the fireplace… |

Don’t get me wrong now. I get the same feeling listening to this as when I was young and in love, listening to Careless whisper by Wham. As Anchor says, this song has fireplace qualities. Lovely!

this is easily the most serious two-piece group ever, ever. everything is perfect & i’d rank it in the top 5 cuts i’ve heard in the past 10 years.
|
.
either you have got to out of the house more, fix your radio, mend the TV , or stop playing that one CD you have.
But thanks Panu its a great thing to say. |

As always, you have reach an excellent mix!!
The how_I_did_it you wrote is very interesting and pedagogical. I think that many people here understand well what means “fighting with a part that doesnt work so early on is frustrating” or “Believe me there are lots i have that don’t make it”. To detune the whole guitar a semitone to play in the key of Cm is an excellent trick. Sometimes I play in C#m (with standard tune), guitar has a different sonority. Definitely, a pleasure. |
.
I am glad you got something from the How i did page.
As a guitarist you will know the beauty of those open strings ringing away. It just seems an easier idea than changing the key of the acapella . Thanks for your comment I Look forward to your next offering. :-) |

Very nice track, like always. I really enjoyed your ” How I Did It section” I don’t play guitar but i think i understand your approach to the whole thing. I’m hardly a keyboard player and have been know to “try” and fit a song into my creations. As you said not always a good fit.
I really love what you did here. I see you use ableton. Is that your main DAW? |
.
It was Logic but PC users got abandoned a few years back and me not wanting to go Mac. I think Ableton were smart and have have captured a fair chunk of what Logic left behind.
The ability to ` trial ’ run samples against your existing track is what i like and the vocal editing capabilites are vast. |

WOW! Another great beautiful song. How you that? Whatever your taking…I want some too. Smooth melody and expertly crafted to the wonderful and mesmorizing voice of Shannon. Love it! My new favourite song this week.

This is one of the better songs I’ve heard in a while. From the chords to the mix and master. Very good work Loveshadow…
