Mellow!… I think i’m just the right mood for this track right now… busy day at the office.. needing an unwind.

Also a big fan of the rim shot, so this is working for me so far. Reversing the samples is a nice move, also liking the harp ‘drrring’. Was expecting Christopher George Latore Wallace to start rapping during this :)

As per usual… and in the words of Tony the Tiger Ggggggreat!.

I hope that naive sentiments rule the day with child-like wonder, as I am bored of seeing what a mess “adult realism” has brought to the world.

From your unerring feel for soul production/backing, to your keen ear to put this together—just a remarkable thing. The song advances the lyric, and it’s a lyric with a message that deserves to be shared.

I’m rather a Hackett fan, so I’m amused that though I loved Victor’s guitar when I first heard his mix, I did not get the “wind and wuthering” connection :)

It is a stunning thing how easily you can create new and beautiful songs with two “samples”. This is a very nice and beautiful remix. I love how you made a decent arrangement around the vocals. It has a fine “old school” flavor towards the bell and the e-piano sound which is (you still know that) a good thing for me:-)

I coudnt put it any better than that (no surprise!) lovely, sweet, innocent message and feeling.

Oh wow. Just wow. This song mean a lot to me and I almost didn’t upload it ‘cause I was feeling self-conscious about the lyrics…but you have made it so beautiful and liquid and smooth….I’m going to make everyone I know listen to it.

Thank you so very much,
n9

PS - many apologies…I lost the first draft of the vocals (which you liked better) when I went to fix the technical glitch…so I’m afraid I won’t be able to upload it as an alternate. You might be the only one that has downloaded a copy of that version. :(

This video is great. Indeed it has a sort of sentimental mood, but it is a perfect song to your created slideshow.
Simple and beautiful, not always easy to create that combination.
Well done, Sir! :-)

Its a true compliment to the mix and Narvas words and melody that you should take the time out to make that video. Thanks Victor.

Great video. Just right. I love the placing of the credits at a simple link. I’d always meant to do that, and now I see a good way for it to be done. The images flow just right on this video. I’m pasting it up on my weblog as soon as I get a minute to do so.

Well you have no need to feel self concious about uploading a lyric like this.

There are always going to be people who believe that they know better about not only music and will try to tell what is good and what is bad.

But in short they are blind. As it is nothing but the same attitude in a different way that prevents the planet from truly being One World.

Keep doing what you doing Narva :-)

Well, I for one am glad you put this one up. First of all, if you hadn’t, you’d be failing to follow your own message :-). It is exactly by putting things like this out to move people to action or at least thought about circumstances that the image of “One World, One Day” might be created.

The lyrics and the delivery (haven’t listened to the original pella yet but I will) reminded me very much of Brian Eno’s “How Many Worlds.” It shares a similar optimistic vision with what you have created. I agree with everyone who has said we don’t need to look far for cynicism and mean spiritedness, too bad more of our media isn’t like this.

Great! Nice vocal processing, and I’m a fan of the reverse sample and the smooth bass. :)

It’s very well structured and mixed, it’s a complete song, and a very radio-friendly edit imho.

Surely an ed-pick?

Oh, and props to Narva9 for another fine song.

This mix is very interesting, I’d even call it a little quirky. The vox are nice and smooth but the music with all that reversed stuff and everything is a little weird and unexpected, and I mean that in the best possible way :-). The sounds in this mix are like the family of people you’d never believe could be related yet somehow they manage to get along. Of course the concept fits the lyrics perfectly, one world full of wacky individuals who just need the gentle persuasion of a positive outside force to learn to get along.

Real neat work on the video Fourstones!

I don’t how I managed to miss this one for a whole week, but people who think this song is corny are only embarrassed by the questions being asked by the lyrics- and LS’s remix lends a calm strength to it. The movie adds yet another reinforcing layer; impressive and inspiring all around!

…and there is nothing corny about the lyrics whatsoever. She speaks the truth. I was in a band named “One World” back in the ’80s and people always made jokes about our name. How pathetically sad is it that we make jokes about a planet full of people living together in harmony? I guess we just need more war and sweat shops.
