lol! — I’m still trying to figure out what this new form of remixing should be called: “Memixing” (the art of remixing yourself) or “Sequixing” (mixing the source materials not together but sequentially one after the other) :-)
|
.
Now that there’s a name I could get behind. Memixing. That’s about as good as it gets there Spin, ol pal. Course I say that with love and “humility”. Or is that “youmility”?

Dont screw with the Dawg…Sheet
Well sorry but I have to go all York- like and get serious on your good self here. Whilst you have a mountain for a sense of humour sometimes its beyond a joke. First you have those girls , damm you , who could sing away my inheritance and have the keys to my car in just a few notes. Then you put a great backing track together that has me singing a melody and lyrics in five minutes but for sure worthy of another more traditional lyric.( see i didnt use that phrase ) So shame on you for not doing something `real’ with all this talent you possess and not at least giving the unfortunate `would like to bes’ like me a chance at wailin all over it. Dissapointed of the UK. |
.
Wail, who says I don’t? But you know that is what The Bear is always harpin at me about. She says why don’t ya put one a yor songs up ya numbnuts to which I usually reply “wail, uh, er, I, um, oh shut up, will ya?” or words to that effect.

Did i miss something on another thread? Did you record the choir?? Is that you singing? I feel i missed something…
|
.
I did indeed record “the choir” there Kelvin, ol pal and that also is, unfortunately, me sangin in my hillbilly twang.
|
|
.
That’s pretty awesome you have access to a choir. Great work! Any chance that choir might be posted to ccmixter?
|
|
.
Wail, lessee there grasshopper. First off that ain’t no real “choir”…it’s three gals, Ginny, Tiffany and Barbara (I could tell ya their last names but then I’d have ta kill ya). Second, while I do have access to actual choirs ifn I need em I seldom do. Third, we get that sound by doin what we call “stackin” the vocals, in other words havin em “stack” the same part on top of themselves several times and then scannin and pannin as necessary.

|
.
alright, but the question remains… ifn when you gits around to it, ida like ta see some postins of that there sweet coral magic to these parts

I’m finding myself agreeing with both Spin and LS. Firstly, there is something odd about remixing one’s own pell, nearly did it myself but then I lost interest. I’m not sure I understand why you did this, not that there needs to be a reason. (maybe that wasn’t Spin’s point…oh well, one should avoid thinking out loud in public spaces :-) ).
No I think LS is right here. It would be really nice to see you show us what happens when you start from zero and be yourself. I can tell y’all first hand that watching what happens next can be a lot of fun. So c’mon dog, what d’ya think :-)? Nice job on this one though. |

Hey now. That’s rather a big leap to presume that Dougie didn’t in fact do precisely that for this track, hmm? Not that I’m defending him or anything. I mean, it’s not like we’re secretly the same person operating under two separate aliases, now is it? Oh, I kill me. |
|
.
I believe that should be “oh, I SLAY me”. Or should it?

I think all the additional vocals are you and you have manipulated your voice!!
But then again I could be completely wrong! As to producing something from scratch isn’t that what all good dogs do….or not!! |
.
Wail, what I create “from scratch” generally goes down the toilet…sorry…the loo. Generally, mind.

Hmm, I’m fairly convinced this is just some very clever viral advertisement and there _is_ this Corkys Bar-B-Q somewhere out there…
Would go there in an instant. If just for the music. |
.
Wail, while that there is a dang good idea Hiddenface, ol pal, unfortunately it’s just ol moi havin fun. But there is indeed a Corky’s, in fact their are several around here and it is OK (but not the best by a long shot) Bar-B-Q. And that there original a capella is from a surreally cornpone jingle I done for em. Although why they would want such a thang I could not say. Does kinda burrow into yor head tho, don’t it?

Can’t mess with great backing vocals, and of course the arrangement’s very relaxing. A whiff of FZ’s in there somewhere…

I thank he means Frank Zappa there Doghouse. You don’t mean it, Doghouse? Yea, I do, numbnuts. Wail, this ain’t Frank’s style at all and his lyrics were always a lot more dadaist, don’t ya thank Doghouse? Wail, I do Doghouse, I gotta agree with ya on that un. Or do you?
