I respect Admiral Bob immensely, so drawing him for the Secret Mixter was both exciting and terrifying. I just wanted to make something that he would love. After going through all his many, many high-quality uploads, “That Song I Never Wrote” kept screaming at me to get written. And so, this whole thing is based around that (piano, organ, and midi that became chimes). Admiral’s “Heavy Chill” provided the drums and lead guitar. I added vocals, ukulele, and bass. I realize that the lyrics almost (or maybe do) fall into dangerously cheesy territory, but I have a theory about that… if you really feel them, they ain’t so cheesy. So I really hope you feel the love and respect I have for Admiral Bob. And, of course, I hope you dig it, Admiral and everyone. Happy Secret Mixter Day to you!
