Thanks Guy. It’s really our first collaboration and we have to learn to work together. The univer of Kaer Trouz is new for me, but i like that…

Way to collab guys! I like it a lot.
The song is brilliant, and the only nit I have (got my headphones on) is
the drums seem to be mono. A couple of percussive hits panned, I think would open this up a bit. Great song…FB

Thanks Fireproof. There is only one sample (track) in mono (on the chorus only), all the rest is stereo. I’ve used 8 tracks just for the drums loop and the percus (30 in total for all the song). I’ve played with the pan as much as i could, but to mix 30 tracks is a nightmare. The sound in my sequencer is really better, more clear and subtle, but after i’ve converted it in mp3….it doesn’t stay so clear.

Thanks for your comment Victor..
Ok, for the samples, it’s done. But how can i find the name of the album when i just use something from the “pre-cut library”.

good question, no good answer. The fact is the attribution of the artist is the most important thing so it hasn’t been a huge priority for me to go back and re-label the 100s of magnatune libraries.

I have to admit, I basically threw a couple loops ditto’s way and then he did most of the work, and toiled over it and then I put the vocal on top. Without him this would not be what it is…..

Really nice use of the sounds that give this a very distinctive feel.

Great collaboration!

Thank to you. I find the sound a little “narrow”, i don’t know why, maybe to much tracks used, but the idea is here..and it’s the essential…

Very, very classy - as I’d expect from anything involving dd!
And Kaer Trouz has an interesting, edgy voice and style (dare I suggest something Bjork-like??)

Thanks oldDog, you’re right about KaerTrouz, something of Bjork, an incredible “fiery” temperament…waoo..waoo..waoo..what a girl…!

Cool, quirky interplay between the melody and the vocals. I like the way that the mix really makes one feel an “alive” quality. I like the wash of melodic backing that begins around :45. The percussion on this one really sells the song.

I like the way that the vocals and the complexities of the backing work together as if they were written for one another.

The chopping of the vocals and panning them in the speakers near 2.30 really works well.

Excellent!

Thanks Gurdonark for your attentive listening. Yes, this piece has been built like a puzzle, everyone bringing his own personality and elements. The first result is this one…not so bad…but we have to learn to know each other..Thanks again.

Sophisticated, technically impressive, yet possessing warmth, punch and a certain playfulness- ditto ditto + Kaer Trouz = good listening!

I’m not sure I originally found this very appealing - like in an attractive way - maybe something about taste. But, I’ve felt aurally drawn to listen a number of times on different occasions - something unique about the mix and play between the elements that you are working with that is very compelling.
