When I recorded that piano part, it felt really mechanical, almost robotic.

I don’t know how, but you’ve made it sound emotional.

Thank you.

I hope you don’t mind if I sample this entire track wholesale and record some overdubs.

I am very glad you like it! Of course
I don’t mind if you sample it; that’s what this site is all about. Can’t wait to hear what you come up with!

ha, at least you have a sense of humor with the booed off the stage comment.

i do like this alot better, and the drums with the ride emphasized definitely gives it a more organic feel.

it’s certainly ripe for a nice spoken word over. maybe i’ll dig around for something.

Isn’t that a lovely piano sample? You’ve put some cool stuff in with which to set it off nicely. The guitar is further back than I might put it, but it’s a difficult choice, because I like the way you’ve got the piano so far up. I also like the “placement” of the instuments in the pan very well. The very light percussion is just right, and gives the piece an airy feel.

I’d suggest you bring the guitar up, and that you add some backing atmospherics—a field recording of something industrial might add heft to the piece so long as it was not too much for the mix.

This one ends too soon, but it’s sure fun while it lasts! It makes me want to take a run at that
piano sample, or to totally drench tihs one in a beat slicer for something ambient and off-beat.
