really beautiful music, both of you….reminds me a little of Peter Gabriel / Kate Bush….I like this version, but I wonder about another version where the middle is even “bigger” rhythmically (but still drawing back to quiet/tender at the end)….I don’t really have much constructive criticism, other than I’m sort of on the fence about whether or not I like the sort of effect used on the higher harmony on the word “you”….I think I like it, but it would be interesting to hear it without too….really good work…. :)

I’m really glad you like it :D
The “you” harmony was an interesting accident, I originally had “missing you” as a three part harmony but there was a click in the lower vocal, so I deleted it. I liked it without, so what’s left is essentially the two top harmony lines, which left a gap….something missing, get it? :) |

I like how you use the soft echo/delay to accentuate soft phonetics at the ends of words.

Wow. tacet, you have captured the soul of my song and truly amplified it. absolutely brilliant. i’ve downloaded it to my collection. i rarely do that.
:) oh yeah, and regarding the higher note on “you”…it’s PERFECT! the harmony is brilliant. (no disrespect intended Dots…just my opinion) :)) |
