Intense and incredibly moving. It’s an honor to be part of this track. I love how you used my pell.
Who is the voice at the beginning? Any chance you will share her with us? Absolutely fantastic! |
.
Thank you, Susan.
As I already explained in my e-mail, I won’t be able to share the vocals. |

Beautiful.

Thanks, also for the ed pick. To be honest, that was a bit unexpected.

He he he, that’s true. But some songs seem more unlikely to get ed-picked than others. At least in my own view. But what do I know, I only write the things. ;-)

Wow. Just wow.
Excuse me while I check the room for black monoliths. And cylons named Susan. |
.
Cylons named Susan? I still have to watch that (but first Star Trek Enterprise, which is very entertaining, btw).
Thanks for stopping by and listening. |

just curious - did you make use of Paul’s Extreme Sound Stretch, or is this something else?
In any case, great use of extreme stretching, vocoding and assorted audio gadgetry. Sounds fabulous on my speakers! |
.
Thank you very much.
I am almost certain that I didn’t use Paul’s tool this time around. But I created it some time ago and since my memory isn’t that good…The only extreme time-stretching was the midi from the intro to an old unfinished tune (Deadline, uploaded here as a sample pack many moons ago) used for the soundscape and vocoding in the second half. |

WoW! How did you do it?
|
.
Thanks! I am going to write a “How I Did It” tomorrow. It’s actually a pretty simple tune to be honest.

This is exceptionally good. I love the dead can dance-esk vocals in the first part. guaranteed to transport you to other worlds / dimensions

Ah, Lisa Gerrard. That’s what I was aiming for. Glad you picked that up. Thank you.

You know those vocals got me right from the start dont you? Its secret mixter time and I’m looking for inspiration (by the way—-you really should jump in and do one one of these days) Very nice work Sub, and thanks for getting me a bit inspired.
|
.
And thank you for your kind words. I guess it’s the DCD reference, isn’t it?
I am not good at deadlines, so Secret Mixter is not for me. I just don’t want to insult the mixtee with a half-decent remix. But I will be looking forward to the result. |

I’ve heard some of your work before but never haven taken the time to stop at your profile. Sometimes you need a rude awakening to really hear and appriciate what you are listening to.
And it’s fucking great and a good listen. What you did to create this is stuff I also use a lot, but not to this level. I do enjoy creating soundscapes and SFX from vocals so this feels like something I have to try for myself. Thanks for this experience. I’ve just created a playlist to enjoy the rest of your work. |
