i like the instrumental but is there a bit to much reverb on the vocals? it sounds a little weird for me. good mix anyway..

I put reverb on the refrain but not the main vocal…I wanted to do something with the refrain to seperate it from the main verses though..I settled on the reverb with some echo (after trying a few different things).

Thanks for the tip though I’ve altered it and taken the reverb off and played with the EQ a bit instead…also added a some minimal bass tones throughout.

well don’t wanna be a pain but the vocals tends to be OFF-Beat at the beginnin’ of your mix, then they really get OFF-Beat at the “Bébé j’te demande pardon” line…

that’s too bad because the hypnotizing beat is real great.. the chorus is Off key but it still sound potable

Try to listen to my main version then mix the vocals back.. The acapella really sticks together well in fact it has been remixed by many so you won’t need to “split\cut\paste” at all to mix it, only get the right cue (which is at the 0.00.000 of the pella,)then the right BPM (which is exactly the same from the Main version)

Nice try tho

PEACE

I appreciate the feedback. I’ve revisited this and adjusted the bpm down. I intentionally left the chorus instead of trying to key it up to the harp and bass…I think it works. I was able to hear what you pointed out where it was jumpin off beat. I killed the splices and started on the downbeat of the mix and I think it’s flows a little better now. Thanks for the ill flows.

I love the deep bass. At first I found it annoying that it disappeared suddenly, but after all it made sense.

I know the vocals set some limits, but I think the song would be better a notch slower.

I liked the reverbed version more :)
