You had me at “dark orchestral electronic funk”. And you didn’t disappoint. I like the clarity of the production, the directness of the arrangement and the Anchorness of the mood. An excellent presentation. Outstanding, really.

“Anchorness” : love this description of the mood. He’s one of a kind and everytime I’ve remixed him over the years I cant help but be drawn into uncharted territory. Thanks Speck your endorsement means a lot to me

Excellent. I heard the poem in a completely new way. Highly seductive, pulled me in, hypnotic. Enjoyed this immensely.

Funny, the drums were an afterthought. Originally just had a bass drum keeping time. Glad you liked it Stef

You really did a fantastic job adapting the poem and the lyric as well interpreting the piece - Thanks for taking such good care in production and using my vocal in such a thoughtful way!

OMFG.
My favorite Windfall Secret Mixter for sure.

What an energy. I looooooove the adoption you did here. It is so mellow. The combination of classic elements and electronica works perfectly.

The HORNS - i mean HORNS blew me away (very much James Bond btw.)

LOVE THIS !!!

I found it difficult to weld the sonar like electronica sound with the strings without bursting through the top. Wasn’t entirely happy but glad you liked the horns - Ive never compressed them that heavily before (in the chorus). Thanks :)

Impressive production. I just dropped mine at the last minute running out of time, not even mixed, not equalised, not mastered; so I really appreciate that you had time and skill to do all this in 14 days

Thanks Carosone, I finished this one on day 3, and was increasingly anxious that it was a piece of sh*t, refusing to listen again in fear that I might throw the whole thing out :/

Cool dark treatment to Anchor’s vocals. I picture this in some modernization of an old opera or something :P

He’s incredibly theatrical and when he sings its hard not to picture him on stage in a big puffy shirt holding the audience in his hand. Glad you liked it V!

a wonderfully, deeply developed production worthy of film, radio and/or stage. the consistent sound snippets throughout add something wonderfully indescribable. your orchestral work (and wow and that rolling snare!) is beyond impressive. beautiful, professional work Scomber.

Thanks Em, I wasn’t entirely confident about this one, always worried about overwhelming Anchors performance and pathos with too much going on in the orchestra pit. Thank you for your kind words…

incredibly smart take on AM’s vocals - love how you carve out lots of space at times (with the synth blip), and then go full orchestral.
yeah. really, really good.
