Nice work! Can’t really say it is the music I normally listen to, but I liked the way you play around with the bass, beat and echo! A really intriguing tune!

Thanks, to be honest I have no idea what genre it is, started as a De La style loop and then took it’s own path….

This is the MOST intriguing remix of
“So Official” that I’ve heard thus far.

I like the way you created a dark space around the vocals…

The track is pretty AWESOME too. (can’t wait 2 hear more)

Thanks and welcome to ccMixter :-)

Thanks man, well it wouldn’t have been anything more than a 8-bar loop without the a cappella! I had no preconceptions when I started it, so thats probably why it is as it is ;-)

I’m tired of producers/musicians hiding away their knowledge, so I’m going to fill in the “how i done it” in as much detail as i can. After all its about what you do, not how you do it!

Thanks for the welcome! I can’t believe i’ve never found this place before, feels like home, where do i hang my coat?

Oh Yeah!!!! This is ……HOT!!! I’m Loving That Bass.
As K said welcome to the Mixter, I’m looking forward to hearing more.

Also i really enjoyed reading your ” how i did it”. A lot of helpful info in there. It’s pretty cool to see how someone else looks at this.
I’d also like to see what other people are doing. Me, I’m just lazy, but after reading yours, maybe i’ll put in a little more effort.

Thanks for the love!

Doing the HIDI thing is kinda strange, never really analysed my method before in such detail. I hope I’ll have the impetuous to do it in the future ;-)

Is that ezdrummer behind it?

Thanks! I’m no keyboard virtuoso, so most of the lines are roughly played then edited. The drums are ezdrummer’s big brother, Drums From Hell Superior running through CamelPhat.

Wow! This pella was my first remix for ccMixter, but this sure blows mine away! I like your attitude toward the HIDI, too- like J.Lang said, I’m not secretive, just lazy… I’ve been learning as I go during my time here, but if anyone has ever been fascinated enough by one of my tracks to ask, I’d be more than happy to do a HIDI. Welcome aboard, and thanks for the nice words!

Thanks for the welcome. Hehe I don’t want to appear a self-righteous ass about the HIDI, to be honest I’m finding it very useful for the way i work as well, lets me realize the amount of time i spend on stuff that dosen’t make it to the final mix (hey I’m not so open as to let everyone know all that, its just embarrassing!) and also to see the bits which really were worth it, and added something special to the track!

extremely unexpected twists, very very refreshing with great choices all along the way. Unique in the best possible sense. Fantastic ‘how i did it’ and even better programming on the drums.

Wow! I can’t say how much I love the world you created with this mix. The growling bass is just nuts!

And the construction is awesome : I love how the atmosphere shifts back and forth.

This is a really interesting mix, I love the bassline that you put on. The drumline also fits the track perfectly. The build-up to the hook is great and then the synth part fits the track really nice. I like how the drums almost have a militaristic feel to them.

Wow, this is great. Very unique mood. Mixing isn’t perfect, tough the great use of panning to make it more immersive makes up for it.

Awesome.

Hey great!!!!!! I love it!!! so trip hop, so tricky. With that music and that voice fits a tricky record and I love tricky. I like very much, the synths, and the atmosphere. Great job, you’ve cheer my day.
