Sweet, very cool take on the original, that bass drone gives it a depth that goes well with the vocal effects you used.
Well done :)

For some reason your mix takes me to Australia. Why I don’t know? Maybe because it sounds vast like a continent. Maybe I hear some Midnight Oil influences? It doesn’t matter really, I enjoyed the journey very much! Thanks!

I had Flock of Seagulls in mind, actually, for a different 80s band from a different continent. But I hear what you’re saying.

This is dark, mysterious, and vintage…. sort of sounds like Talking Heads meets early prog rock Allan Parsons Project.

I may not sound like it, but I love Alan Parsons Project. Turn of a Friendly Card was a very influential album on my young self.

Dude, this is awesome. Dark, ambient, organic. Like a lost episode of X Files. How’d their hair turn white? We thought it was old age, but it was something else. :)

Thanks for taking the time to make this, and for choosing to remix this particular track. Can’t wait to send it to my folks!

Thank you, Ben. That means a lot. I think your vox are great, and I’m hoping to remix some more as a side project before too long. I also loved your bedtime blues song, but this one hadn’t been mixed yet, so it won.

You unearthed a good one there. And featured it well.

80s is exactly what I was shooting for (see above comments), so, thank you.

also quite surprised this pell hadn’t been remixed — you’ve brought his voice into the light with your thoughtful production and arrangement. the vocal treatment is especially magical. thanks for the awesome stems.

Quite the challenge, given the full mix of the original preview was pretty strong, which maybe explains why not remixed before? Good choice to keep the vocals intact but then you *totally* transformed this, making something much more ambiguous and dark. I especially enjoyed the intro.
