Very nice mix! Lyrics say more behind the scenes than is heard on the surface, which is the mark of a great songwriter. Music was top notch and fitted wonderfully. Thank you so much for creating this!
Wish I could do Ed. Pick, because that’s where I would put this tune! |
.
Oh man, thanks. This means a lot coming from you.

Solid mix including the vocals. Well done.

Thank you! It’s hard for me to listen back to my own voice and lyrics, so reading that make me feel better.

It got a little out of control on me, but therapeutic nonetheless. Thanks!

Great to hear you dust off your production chops for this. I’ll second Bluemillenium on the spatialization, too. Much enjoyed!

i love the intro, creates an atmosphere of “shortness of breath” — apropos for the current situation. Your lyrics are compelling and a strong vocal performance. Your guitar work is STELLAR and really reaches deep into the soul. Powerful track from top to finish. Bravo.

When recording vocals I often think “What would Emily say”….”Do it again with more air”

Very catchy, and it gives me an early-mid noughties vibe, like “Float On”
|
.
I didn’t hear that until you said it and yeah you’re right. Float On. Thanks.

Nice wall of sound, love that tone.

I finally listened to it on my home stereo up loud and it translates. I a/b’d it with David Bowie and Beatles and for a DIY home studio mix it’s worthy.
I like building walls of sound. |

Now this is a tune that seems to be a throwback to the 70’s a sort of rock opera ballad! Like a Jim Steinman tune in a stage production. Good stuff.

Thanks MJ. I’ve been listening to a lot of old Bowie and Queen so I guess it bleeds through. Now I’m going to have to listen to Meatloaf again.
