Great beat!
Love the guitar and the drums, original drumloop (1 snare / bars???). Just a little problem on the chorus (maybe it’s just me) I think C.B’s voice just arrive a bit to early… I had that problem and cut the pell to synch it, the “jun” in “lejun” hit the snare, the rest will follow (Non-Professional but Only technic I found to be honest..lol). |

Thanks iZ! I had thought that was intentional, like it was supposed to have kind of a overflowing effect for the intensity, a little syncopation-type thing. I might end up redoing this one, putting some more bells n’ whistles on the treatment of the pella- especially since it makes for a short track as it stands ;)

Gave this many listens, really like this. Works very organically as an arrangement, very experimental and a very successful experiment. The guitar gives the track a great vibe. You interpret the minimalist approach very successfully, less can be so much more. Great work.

Glad to hear it! THe goal was that the pella carries enough character, so the track should best support and emphasize, w/o competing for attention; sometimes reinterpretation is fun, but here I wanted the listener to understand that an army of samples, FX and slice-fu aren’t always necessary. Thanks for the listen/review!

Duckett, I really dig this, the minimal approach and instrumention provide a sweet backdrop to let Clarence’s fabulous pell slam down, a track that feels almost as if it was thought of in the presenting of laying down the track. The guitar is also nicely placed. Con: too short and feels as though it was cut off ahead of its time, perhaps a break with a reprise, however short and sweet would have suited that.
