That is a very beautiful text, and the quality of your voice really makes it incredible. In fact, I often add effects to spoken words in my electro mixes, but I really felt it would have been a waste for this one.
Given the overall sound quality, it’s just a shame there’s some saturation on the first word!! :) Anyway, it’s definitely one of the most touching poems on this site. |

Great poem and a great delivery. I have already said so over at MI7 at Audiotechnica’s profile page and I will say it again: you have the perfect voice for reciting poetry. I would love to do something with this poem, but Audiotechnica’s take on it is already so good that I am hesitant to give it a try myself.

You can’t help but give listeners yet another unique interpretation- If it helps, listen to all the remixes of it in a row; I’ve found that useful in keeping a remix I might favor from determining the direction my own might take… but no matter what you do, it will still be yours, unless you attempt to slavishly re-create the sound of another. I’ve been highly inspired by others’ remixes myself, and since I’d never claim to be the firstest and bestest remixer in town, I just go where the inspiration takes me, and hope others enjoy what it is I’m going for, amateur though I may be. Thanks for all the nice words, I might put up some more spoken-word stuff, since people seem to think it’s okay… |
