yeah thos tacet vocals are right on point, and so are the vybe vocals, but perhaps this should be two completely different remixes, i truly love it when tacets part is on, but then vybe comes in and it off-set’s the mix (not that the vocals are bad or anything…)then i like it again… two great mixes in one…

I think I agree, it’s VERY difficult to mix vocal and rap well in a track. People like the Gorillaz do it really well but then Damon’s vocal is usually cyclic and rap-like. It’s maybe too wide contrast between Vybe’s ‘tude and my legato floatyness…still a great attempt though :)
Nicely done. |

Okay, at first, the intro sounds very club, but then you transiton into club-influenced hip hop.
You synched up Vybe’s vocals nicely, the beats matches her flow. Nicely done, this fits Vybe’s voice well. The singer’s voice works well too, but I would agree with CDK, it sounds almost like this should be 2 remixes. Maybe the singer can be on a breakdown and then ride the end of the song. I am not suggesting cut the singer out, but maybe I just think there is too much competition, the singer is very mellow, emotive, but Vybe’s vocals steal the show here. I think you repeat the singer’s verse 1 or 2 times too many. (This singer would SHINE in their own remix, great voice) Also, it seems like there is 2 choruses, Vybe’s “Hack the Market” and then the singer “Fake The Revolution”, 2 great, but still competing ideas in the same song. It should blend, but you get in one zone, sucked into another and then back again. Still, great work, couldn’t stop listening to it. |
