There’s something about setting a singer songwriter to just an acoustic guitar. (I spent my young years not listening to much other than Suzanne Vega.)
Sometimes simple and straightforward is best. And in my opinion, you now own this pella. |

I think a duet is a bad idea.
That much awesome concentrated in one place could have grave consequences for the stability of our universe. ;) |

The compliment is much appreciated, AB, but I don’t know… I still really like your version and the Loveshadow version.
All three are so different, but I like them all very much. I think there’s room for all of us. :) |

Yeah, and I love LS’s too.
But yours is still my favourite of the three. ;-) |

i LOVE them all. so i created a featured playlist on my blog, with them all, using the ccMixter Query API (i continue to find amazing things Victor constructed at ccM - he rocks!)

Beautiful take on Emily’s vocals. Very sensitive and appropriate for both the lyrics and delivery.

dear clarence,
this is so beautiful. i played it over the phone for my mother. she said “it has so much emotion. i want to take it all in.” thank you for this gorgeous mix, and for sharing your recording process. amazing how it all lined up so perfectly. |
.
The pleasure was all mine. So glad to hear you (and your mom) like it!
It’s funny, after recording this, now I feel like we performed together last night for an open mic night at a little coffee house or something. So… yeah, good job last night! :) |

it’s really something unique, what happens when you work with someone else’s samples/pellas/source. for me, i do feel like i’ve gotten to know the mixter in a much more personal way, like we’ve actually spent time in the studio together. and like you’ve said, performed live together. i felt that way after working with admiral bob’s put the needle down.
ccM is pretty darn revolutionary for music. :) |

I would love to hear this one played live one day. But me being on the other side of the ocean that will proberbly not happen very fast.

Listening to this song makes me realize I listen far to less singer and gitar songs (if that’s the wright term).
This song makes me feel quite weak, it’s so beautifull. Maybe it was ment to be two of these great musicians combined at ccM. |
.
we’ve had aspirations of a ccM yearly convention, hosted each year in a different city around the globe. then we could actually perform some of our tracks live and meet one another face to face. not sure we could actually pull together something that grand, but as john lennon said, Imagine!

For now I close my eyes and imagine a great concert in Ahoy in my hometown rotterdam (the netherlands) |

That would be really cool! Why not? Has anyone ever done a preliminary gauge of interest at least? It seems like that would be the biggest question mark - making sure enough people would come to warrant renting out hotel/convention center space. Of course, even if it’s just 15 people or so you could still meet up at a restaurant or something. |

.
a few of us have talked about it, but we haven’t posed it to the community. organizing a convention isn’t a small task, and perhaps we’re a bit intimidated by the amount of work it would take. that being said, perhaps if we start discussing and imagining now, it will appear nearer in our future :)

Just wonderful! I like reduction to the bare minimum and if it’s done like this one then it’s great.
And I would very much enjoy a convention to meet some of the great artists here at ccMixter (at least if it’s somewhere in Europe…) |

Magical. I love acoustic guitars anyway, but you get something really special out of this chord sequence. Great track.

So soft and beautiful. Just a lovely piece of work, the guitar melody follows her steps ever to delicately, what a beautiful musical marraige. I was looking for song to play for my road trip theme on my radio show. I think this will fit nicely. thanks. AJ

Nice! Glad you like it. You’ll have to post a link to your show when it’s finished so I can check it out.
