Diggin’ the dynamism and the perfect fit of Kara’s vocal.

Exciting and playful energy! I’m amazed at how you transformed the stems :)
Thank you for including me in this remix, Whitewolf :) |

Glad you like, though I really didn’t change your stems much, except for adding a couple of small effects :-) Biggest change was to Kara’s vocals, a bit more reverb and a delayed echo. The energy you noticed was mostly caffeine fueled lol. I was exhausted (It was 3 am when I quit for the night) by the time I strung the loops/samples together…
I need to remaster this, as Radioontheshelf mentioned. When/if I do revisit this track, I actually have a few changed/additions in mind. |

I like it even more! Brighter, more spread out, and for lack of a better word, bigger.
Don’t know if you’d want to tinker much more without upsetting the dynamics. With all of its charms, Kara’s arpeggio fx in particular, the track drives itself — could be longer if you turn the ending into a breakdown and rebuild, but … not necessary. If I had any tips I’d love to hear them, too ;) Seriously, though, this is a fun, stand-out track. Great job! |

As someone whose mixing skills are best described as basic, this sounds great to me. Despite the modifications you haven’t lost the essence of Kara’s voice either.

Glad you enjoyed the tune! Thank you for your kind words.
My mixing and mastering abilities are still on the upward spiral of the learning curve, but I’ve been keeping it as simple as possible. I’m generally better suited to mixing vocals using sample from various sample cd’s (which usually include key and bpm both), so learning to mix really diverse, unrelated stems is out of my comfort zone (I don’t have the ear to determine key, so mixing is fun, but very frustrating). If you describe your mixing skills as basic, you might be underestimating yourself. I’ve had 20 years + of total experimentation, and I still consider myself somewhere less than an amateur and more than a hobbyist. |
