what a nice remix - overall, so lush and musical, the distorted ePiano giving it just a hint of edge. The eq gives me a bit of that glorious old time radio feeling, while the beat is modern. A wonderful piece for your mom!

Thanks a lot Spinmeister (SP)! ;-)

I am hoping the track doesn_t sound too much like “Tube” as for the EQ. I didn_t intended that, but probably you meant the “Mellotron” sound??
My Mom didn_t heard the track yet, but I hope that she will like it.

Thanks “DK” (as Spinmeister would write?)Glad you like it. Your so called guitar tracks have been a real inspiration for me, even if I have used only a few phrases of it.
And you can hear at the end, that I didn_t forgot the promised crash/cymbals! :-)

Now if someone had said to me before listening to this that they were going to put the vox on top of this backing track I would have given them a very old fashioned look!!

But hey! Wow!! It works!!

Great idea adding “The Joe” influence!!:)

Hello RT!

Thank you very much for your comment. Glad you like it too!
I can say that without your version and the one of duckett, I probably never had detected the beautiness of this vocal pella.
So you are my inspiration too! :-)

You really captured the lounge-crooner aspect of the “pella” intended for this song. Your backing music too sums up the mood - a kind of lazy, fuzzy-wuzzy land atmosphere of retro-Parisian chic and Lounge-Denizen languor. Thanks! Loved it.

I just imagined how it would be in a record shop where you ask for a special sort of music to purchase like: “hello, I am looking for a kind of lazy, fuzzy-wuzzy land atmosphere of retro-Parisian chic and Lounge-Denizen languor.

“Where can I find that?”

Then make a pic of the sales clerk_s face, voila!

I am very glad that you like this remix. Thanks for these nice words which are much appreciated.

I think it is exactly this juxtaposition of Anchors voice against this lounge vibe that makes for something quite menacing, like Dean Stockwell singing Roy Orbisions ` In Dreams’ in David Lynchs Blue Velvet

Not pretty but successfully odd.

Didn_t knew the mentioned track, but made a little research. Now I understand what you mean ;-)
Thanks for commenting here.

Just realized that in my 7 days absence here, you have uploaded in one week as much tracks as I have published here in my entire ccmixter membership. Shame on me!
Coming there over soon.

Haha!
I hope you didn_t made that sort of gesture like Dennis Hopper at the end of this clip by listening to my tune! :-)

Haha. This is turning out to be one heck of a Monday morning - this track caught me by surprise - and a great one.

This is exactly what I have mentioned to you before - here’s a track that blends your skills with rhodes/sweet harmonies and the more ambient backgrounds from your “real” job - this is an outstanding track and a great shift in direction.

I’m a happy guy now listening to this. Fantastic work.

Thank you soo much Colab (CB)!

I am happy I could put a bit happiness in your mind.

As you are somebody who knows a bit more of my “real” work, these words are very uplifting for me.

Hoping to surprise you again soon!

Cheers to you!

Thanks TE for stepping by and commenting on this one. Well there are only four chords turning around all the time and build around “duckett_s” guitarish EP track.

Hey AT!

Thanks for your comment and be sure, you are or were not late for this. This being said of someone who was definately very late by commenting your last remixes and I just realize that I still have missed a few. Shame on me, this will be done very soon!
