Unusual ice and snow here this week. Turned on the ccMixter to find a digital rockfest taking place within the infinite space between a rock and a snowflake. Welcome musical change of pace to go with the freakishly frigid weather. Ed Pick!

Hey Thanks for the pick. Guess it was worth getting the ringing in my ears for 24 hours :-)

I like the way that metal concerts can feature little stage additions. One band has its logo in a giant canopy over the stage. Another band has three screens which alternate between tight close-ups of the band members and images appropriate to the song. Alas, the days of dry ice machines is largely past.

It’s fun to hear this track, and the choice to go in the Paramore/Halestorm direction, stopping a bit short of In this Moment frenzy, is fun. I picture a huge microphone stand and all sorts of great guitar pedals and huge heels on hellish, stomping boots. oh, and dry ice.

There were a few moments of foldback speaker posing I can tell.

Very cool, quite unexpected in style from you. A moment before I heard Cinderella’s Nobody’s Fool on Youtube and it perfectly fits the theme.

Did the rain start falling up when you made this? :-)

Very nice to hear you cutting loose. If there’s one thing I don’t need any more of it’s tightly wound sticks in the mud. I know where to find them :-).

Great stuff. Ed pick richly deserved.
