Working with Etherdust’s samples was really difficult for me. He has mixed a variety of sounds from techno to soft ballad, including a number of samples I have previously mixed in totally different ways. About three hours before this was completed, I lost almost the entire mix worth of edits when my Cubase crashed. To my chagrin, Autosave was not on.

Ether, I’ll apologize up front if this is not the most musical arrangement of your generally smooth takes.

ALL of the samples come from Ether’s mixes, almost all remixes of other work, a few straight samples. I’ve twisted, effected and obnoxiously mangled the sounds to represent a landscape not unlike what I feel like at the end of this years’ days. The BPM, as pointed out by Colab in doing my own work, is shifty. No excuses though. Here it is, in all its rooty canally extinction of pain.

BTW, I’d do another secret mixter in a heartbeat, if not just to taste the challenge.
