The Fortitude of Women - Audio Epic Part 1
uploaded: Fri, Sep 5, 2008 @ 7:11 PM
This is the full version based on several BBC clips culled from the Archive.Org Creative Commons site, specifically from the Golden Age of Radio collection. As I cannot link directly to those files, I’d like to make note that they are the driving inspiration for this work. It started from an idea borne by listening to these pieces and developed along those lines. It’s been ‘finished’ of sorts for a while, and is quite long. I apologize that it is 96 not 128, but would not fit under 10MB otherwise. It could probably use some work yet, but I feel that I need to get it off the shelf so that I might begin again with the addictive constructions I started back in the spring. My new audio machine is purring along and ready to crunch out more soundscapes, and I feel that I was just getting started when this piece stopped me in my tracks. I would like to work it a bit more in the future as part of a three-or-four piece work to add to video. Thanks to Gurdonark for contributing his ear a few months ago for off-line review.
