Plastic Rose Petals (Accapella)

I always envisioned this as a country tune. I would love to have some fancy Nashville musicians cover this song and make it a worldwide chart-topping hit.
If you could only hear the final version in my head. :-) Feel free to reinterpret the song and make it your own. I even threw in the lyrics for you! Peace, K Plastic Rose Petals Written by Kawaski J Nelson Published by Passion Mills Music (BMI) .2013 Verse 1 He caught a whiff of her cheap perfume As he stumbled over luggage in his hotel room Paid for the night but I doubt he stays Gazing at the woman in her lingerie Competition game, set, and match Gloating at the sight of such a beautiful catch Their eyes meet but they barely touch Afraid that the stranger might say too much Chorus 1x She’s on a midnight train going nowhere Ain’t nothing gonna stop her now (And) come hell or high water She’s gotta find a way to make it somehow But I got a funny feeling That it’s all a harbinger of change Those cheap little plastic rose petals on the bed don’t smell the same Verse 2 Playing through the wall is a familiar tune Wait…. I think it’s Johnny Mathis In comes the chorus he stares into space and then she pauses - (and wonders what the catch is) A broken neon sign flashes just one letter As she’s thinking to herself that I can do better Too late though cause shes in too deep Waiting for her money but he’s fast asleep Chorus 1x She’s on a midnight train going nowhere Ain’t nothing gonna stop her now (And) come hell or high water She’s gotta find a way to make it somehow But I got a funny feeling That it’s all a harbinger of change Those cheap little plastic rose petals on the bed don’t smell the same Verse 3 Now she’s leaving on the next thing smoking and what little she has is all packed Told herself if she ever got a chance to leave she wasn’t coming back Cause she’s seen to many good girls perish and big dreams just fade away High hopes ain’t nothing but an adjective and noun if you waste it away Chorus (3x) She’s on a midnight train going somewhere Ain’t nothing gonna stop her now (And) come hell or high water She’s gonna find a way to make it somehow But I got a funny feeling That it’s all a harbinger of change Those cheap little plastic rose petals on the bed don’t smell the same End.
