So… it’s been a while.

Long story short, a decade after graduation, I’m back in school, which has been a sizable drain on my free time. (Pharmacy Tech, if you were wondering)

I’ve also had to severely downgrade the gear with which I make tracks, which means that the usual tricks I’ve used to cover up my lack of actual ta… erm… what I mean to say is that the setup I’m using is very much back to basics. Press record to record, press stop to stop, muck around a little with the wav files, and that’s about it.

It’s nice, in a way. Kind of like going back to 4-track.

There’s not a whole lot to say about this particular piece of music. It’s divided into 2 sections, clumsily pieced together by some guitar strumming in E minor. I grabbed Jasper’s wobbly bass because, well, how could I not? Also, FB’s cathartic guitar piece, there was a very specific feedback shronk that I wanted to add.

The whole thing sounds kinda like mud because there’s very little EQ or compression going on.
