I stayed up until 4 am last night, after I hear Neurowaxx’s lastest sample, which is unimaginably beautiful. No Vodka involved whatsoever this time. I left his sample in tact, just added a little eq, a synth line and a piano line that I then cut up and put through various effects. The a capella is here.

I met a winemaker yesterday (he makes Cade & Plumpjack) and we talked about how Salinas, California has changed so profoundly in the last 100 years. Then a lonely line of red earth and the Gabilan range, now a wine tasting disneyland, caravans of fools in hummers blasting noxious emissions into the sky.
He told me how you have to be careful, not to let the grape seeds completely harden (lignify), it is a fine line between green youth and lignification. One must stop themselves too from becoming wooden, rigid, fixed. Anyway, heady thoughts, late nights all that rah rah.
