Hey man, thanks for this—really terrific! Everything is spot on—instrumentation, arrangement, production, and overall vibe. And your additions are superb—especially how you fleshed out the vocals. And nice little touches like adding delays here and there. The strings are also lovely, especially when they resolve to the relative minor—another nice touch. Yeah, you really took a lot of care with this and it shows. Great snare sound too. I think this should be the theme tune to the TV London Olympic coverage—let’s release it as a single! Thanks guv!
P.S. I see from your profile that you like cheese & biscuits—kudos, man—me too!

Yes, don’t get too disheartened - England still makes great cheese!

Good point—yesterday I had cheesy bread plus cheese, followed by cheesecake! Just thinking: cheese is good for you, isn’t it???

Definitely! I don’t buy into all that ‘low fat’ nonsense, and being happy eating cheese is much healthier than being unhappy and not eating cheese! Doctor Numeron also prescribes a good glass of red wine to wash it down!

Thanks, guv. It was all so easy for me, because the original was kinda ready already. Cheese FTW!

Updated the file now. There were some minor “mistakes” in my arrangement that were buggin me, so I had to fix them.

The Proclaimers backed by Pink Floyd, fronted by Lou Reed… I like the simple and slightly adorned arrangement turning into a big airy production. And I especially like how the vocal has been left front and centre.

Thanks. Yeah, I can definitely hear a strong Roger Waters (one of my fav song writers) vibe in the original.

Great original idea from Javolenus with a wonderful vocal and lyrics.

Then you took it and added some great sounds and vox treatment.

This is confirmation of the Burl Ives musical philosophy.. “Keep the chords to the minimum and let the magic do the rest”!

Thanks. Yes, the original was already a strong one - I just added small bits and pieces.

Fantastic! Definitely a modern day anthem - I can imagine Oasis playing this with the whole stadium singing along

That’s a nice thought! Zep took a simple song demo and created a radio-ready anthem.

Well I was singing along. You should put out a feeler for as many peeps to sing that chorus as possible! That would be cool :)

Very cool !.. I like all the package here, nice composition, choice of sounds, guitar chords, mixing/mastering, and that sound which seems to come from my surrounding, it gives a nice “live concert” sensation at the song.

Hahah. “After 6 beers every song is a good song”. Love it.

I haven’t had 6 beers, and it’s still excellent.
