This is excellent, I’m going for the REEEEEWIND (although it’s not really that kind of banging club track).

The spooky bass line at 1:00 works really well. Give up the day job immediately :-)

Thanks for your kind comments!
And for the advice also, but I’m afraid I can’t give up my job … :)

Mmmm, this is not a bad effort…musically it sounds awful. The piano type keys are offkey with the pads and it sounds nasty. The beats are ok, but very lightweight. The bass does not add any emphasis.

Nice pad sounds, which fit ok with the samples, the delays or edits used to provide fx were ok, but again I thought kinda lightweight.

I would advise you to listen to a wide variety of dnb artists / tech step artists and compare what you have done with what they do.

What do u use to monitor your mix? Because it did not sound right at all through my system.

As I told you in response to this review, my problem is that I don’t have a decent pair of monitors (seems I should buy some!) and I’m not that good at mastering. That’s way it may sound awful in your system.
Anyway, thanks for your advices.

I heard this when listening to Kenmunro’s playlist and had to check out your page.

I must disagree with this post here…the track sounds great to me. Well mixed…and I like how the keys add discord to the mix when combined with the pads, like two trains of thought floating in different directions they accentuate the meaning that I derive from the vocals. There exists a lot of music that works with multiple keys…so to discount a track because it explores multiple keys is a bit closeminded imho. While it may not be your cup of tea musically is one thing…but to say it sounds awful when it is clearly an effective mix, displays lack of vision.

Wow, thanks for your thorough review.
Indeed, at first I didn’t notice the pads & keys discordance… Morr was right I think, but for me it sounded fine and effective as you say.
Glad you liked it! I’m afraid it’s the only dnb track in my uploads… Hope I can mix something else in this style some time :)
